The Sustainable Technology Foundation is an independent, not-for-profit organisation initially focused on Western EU and US markets. WDG Azure is the co-founder (with The Bathwick Group) and the party responsible for coordination and marketing.
The Foundation's mission is to support the tremendous positive potential of Information & Communications Technologies (ICT) by helping to minimise negative human, societal and environmental impact across the whole industry supply chain – to the end user.
The Sustainable Technology Foundation is neither 'greenwash' nor anti-business. The Foundation's role is to coordinate action from within industry, set goals, stretch those goals, bring positivity and ultimately deliver results. Through new research and access to information, the Foundation will create 'balanced' strategies, which will deliver change and make a difference to the global sustainability agenda.
The Foundation will address the whole range of technology-related issues in addition to landfill and pollution problems, such as the long-term human impact of extended working hours in mobile or home office facilities, the complexities of technology-related legislation or how emerging legislation directives are to be implemented.
The Sustainable Technology Foundation works with leaders in their respective fields – advocates of change – and those that want to sponsor change.
